Lifehacker told me to rinse my bacon in water to reduce shrinkage. Reduced shrinkage = more bacon, so I tried it.

Any difference in shrinkage wasn’t obvious. One certainty from this experiment is that the soaked bacon sucks. Running it through water washed the bacon right out of it. It tasted like a lasagna noodle.
For the first time in my life, I threw away a piece of bacon. I felt guilty all night, but kept reminding myself that it was no longer bacon… all of the bacon washed down my kitchen sink drain.
Whoever started this internet rumor is one sick bastard.
